Thats not what happened - I have been trying to download and install Oracle Client on the server without any success. What I had expected was to get a downloader, run setup.exe and be done with it. I would need to have ODBC connection setup on this Server, on which the application is running.įrom what I have understood, I would need to install the complete client on the server and would not be able to just install ODBC Drivers installed for the purpose.Įxcuse me for sounding so naive, but its not on a daily basis that I am required to deal with Oracle and nothing much specifically on the installation side ! It is primarily using a MS SQL Server as its DB, but needs to get data from an external Oracle Database. I have a CITRIX server which is running a Windows based application.
